We are looking for English Classroom Teacher who is passionate to provide inclusive and diverse teaching to allow them to develop a sense of success and to create a steppingstone for their future.
- Conduct English classes in an inclusive setting. (Grade 2 to Grade 7)
- Conduct small group/ individual teaching sessions for children with learning difficulties or require an additional support teacher in class.
- To work with students who are developing English language proficiency.
- Design and execute lesson plans based on given syllabus and track progress of students and lessons.
- Prepare Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) for students.
- Review and development of the syllabus with school’s curriculum team.
- Proficiency in using educational technology.
- Communicate with parents.
- Work collaboratively in a team and participate in the wider school community.
- Create a safe, happy, interesting and lively classroom/s which promotes independence and joy of learning.
Requirements
- The candidate should hold a minimum of a Degree in Education or equivalent from a recognized University.
- Relevant professional teaching experience in a school setting.
- Has relevant working experience with students with learning difficulties.
- International school teaching experience, especially in Asia, is highly regarded.
- International Primary Curriculum (IPC) experience/ British Curriculum experience preferred.
- Relevant experience teaching English as Second Language (ESL) learners.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse and multicultural environment.
- Knowledge & skills to manage behavior through appropriate behavior intervention strategies.
- Knowledge of various types of disabilities (e.g., ASD, GDD, CP, Down syndrome, HI, VI)
- Knowledge, understanding and Writing of IEP (e.g., how to link the assessment to the development of an IEP)
