Support key strategic initiatives and projects to drive the development of Own Brands' business at the strategic and portfolio level. Including generating key market and competitive insights, financial and commercial performance reviews, product portfolio development work, and yield management work.


Responsibilities:

Safeguarding New Products Launch and Margins:

  • PIC overseeing the progress, and timeline from product sourcing to launch. Responsibilities include impact tracking to budget, flag risks impact, work with Sourcing and Brand managers to derive mitigation plan to close the gap, and provide builds that aligns with OB ambitions to business case development.
  • Work with Commercial and Sourcing Managers on supplier cost increases and propose pricing for products by performing key analysis on GP impact, Sales & Volume impact, pricing competitiveness, and competitor trends.

Strategic Initiatives:

  • Perform analysis and develop business insights to support team members in the development of portfolio strategy- eg: pipeline of new product development, assessment of product life cycle, price/ promo analysis, and market landscape across brands and categories.
  • Support day-to-day activities on management of key strategic initiatives – from project scoping and planning, tracking of deliverables, problem-solving on key outstanding items, impact tracking, execution of supplier transition


Job Requirement:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Management, Social Science, or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience from the Retail/ FMCG industry is preferred.
  • Good understanding, hands-on experience on core project management skills - e.g. project scope planning, task management, milestones tracking, impact reporting
  • Strong communication skills (spoken and written), interpersonal skills, and partnering skills- comfortable with building consensus and collaborate at all organisational levels in achieving desired results and objectives.
  • Good appreciation of business processes and outcomes, as well as the ability to identify potential areas for business improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Business acumen- Good appreciation of business and financial principles and ability to translate commercial strategies into executional, operating goals.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology and software tools to drive transformation initiatives- eg: Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suites.
  • Ability to multi-task- managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Openness to changes and ability to inspire and motivate teams during periods of change.
