Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for a Visiting Senior Research Scientist in the Human Potential Translational Research Programme (HPTRP), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The HPTRP aims to bring together researchers from a wide range of disciplines with an interest to maximise human potential. In HPTRP, focusing only on human studies, we aim to adopt a holistic perspective that considers human potential as an integrative measure of health, productivity, performance, human capital and overall well-being over the lifespan in our environment. Appointments will be made on a 3-year contract basis.


The Visiting Senior Research Scientist will be responsible for, and to work closely with, the Principal Investigator and study team members to ensure the successful completion of Project HEATS (Heat Exposure, AcTivity and Sleep).


The Visiting Senior Research Scientist candidate will liaise with relevant personnel in the study team to complete the study and will be accountable to the Principal Investigator (PI). The Visiting Senior Research Scientist will:

  1. Ensure project milestones and deliverables are met by working closely with the Principal Investigators;
  2. Supervise Research Fellows, Research Assistants and Graduate Students;
  3. Generate peer-reviewed publications;
  4. Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications

The applicant should:

  1. Possess a PhD and a strong track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  2. Have at least 5 years of working experience in research in Architecture/Design and Planning or related disciplines.
