Job Description:
- Analyze system and software requirement documents and source code for potential safety hazards.
- Develop safety documents using applicable safety standards such as SSPP, FHA, FTA, SAR, and PHA.
- Understand software development processes, having completed one or more SDLCs.
- Perform safety analyses within a given schedule and work with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate within a team environment with an emphasis on individual contributions to produce valuable products for the customer.
- Demonstrate excellent people skills and communication abilities to effectively interact with a highly technical team of engineers.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of software development processes.
- Knowledge of safety standards.
- Software coding experience in C++/Java.
- Experience with execution and documentation of safety analyses.
- Experience with safety-critical software is a plus especially with CMS systems.
- Experience with safety software tools (Parasoft, MaCabe, TestWell) is a plus.
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Windows)
- Good understanding of the software development processes, had completed one or more SDLCs.
- Capable of performing safety analyses within a given schedule and can work with minimal supervision.
- Must have good people skills, excellent communicator and the desire to work with a highly technical team of engineers.
