Job Description (Golf)


(A) Business Operations & Development

  • Develop & achieve the Sales Strategy, Business Plan and Budget according to the Group’s and Country’s short-term and long-term goals in line with the T&I strategy.
  • In consultation with the Regional Director, formulate the business strategy actively pursuing new business opportunities with the aim to· achieve & add higher local value, pursue backward/forward integration within the Corporate Guidelines and oversee its implementation.
  • Collaborate with the country management and existing equipment & project team to support the continuity and attainment of goals and objectives.
  • Work with the Regional Director to manage the equipment team’s financial well-being in general and its working capital.
  • Involve in creating and expanding the customer base through direct and indirect sales.
  • Collaborate the Regional Director on the equipment team’s risk exposure at all times through close collaboration with the country management and existing irrigation & project team and in strict adherence to the Group Policies and Delegation of Authority Guidelines.


(B) Team Management

  • Collaborate with the team on the complexities of the sales operation.
  • Coach and train the team to achieve the desired level of job knowledge and skills. Identify the skills and knowledge required by the staff to perform their assigned tasks, and proactively provide appropriate training opportunities to acquire these.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director to establish the equipment performance standards and targets for all direct reports – guiding, motivating, coaching and appraising them to ensure optimum job performance.
  • Lead & guide the team whenever required.

(C) Product Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Assigned products need to be brought to market in the most effective way. This means that each proposal across the business areas needs to be adjusted to the needs of our various customer segments and for each country.
  • Various versions of our equipment need to be prepared in order to successfully apply the versioning approach to all proposals. This work is to be developed in close coordination with the Regional Marketing Manager.
  • All T&I colleagues need to be able to sell our value proposition by understanding the customers’ needs. This can be derived by active questioning skills and application knowledge. In case this is not up to the expectation of the T&I management, corrective action must be taken to achieve the required quality.

(D) Inventory Planning & Management

  • Together with the regional logistics manager, plan, determine and monitor inventory stock and level to ensure stock value is kept within optimal levels as agreed with management.
  • Take lead in monitoring the inventory aging and actively engage with the country sales teams to agree on actions that result in minimal aging stock / obsolescence to the level agreed with management

Qualification:

Bachelor Degree in Business Management or related discipline with experience in engineered product sales, or a Degree in Engineering with relevant sales experience.


Experience:

  • At least 10 years’ experience in sales management of engineered products
  • Good business acumen, entrepreneurial and commercial thinking
  • A positive outlook, can-do attitude and a team-player
  • Possess effective communication, net workings skills and result-driven
  • Good understanding of data analytics to support decision making
  • Fluent in both written and oral English
  • Knowledge in SAP would be an advantage
