Join us as a Senior DevOps Manager
As a Senior DevOps Manager, you will lead a high performing team in architecting, implementing and managing highly resilient and reliable infrastructure that powers rewards solutions for our customers around the world. You will collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Engineering (e.g. Product teams, core platform teams, quality teams) to roll out DevOps initiatives and ensure that our infrastructure can support the needs of internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate would have strong fundamental systems and networking knowledge, extensive experience in operating on cloud environments and have previously scaled DevOps and infrastructure in a SaaS environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and grow a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, coaching and support to ensure high performance and career growth
- Drive a culture of collaboration, transparency and shared responsibility across engineering and DevOps teams. Effective communication, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on continuous learning and improvement are essential aspects of DevOps culture.
- Collaborate across the engineering organization to ensure alignment of DevOps/Infrastructure roadmaps with Product roadmaps and requirements, executing jointly on shared goals
- Provide technical leadership to the team to architect, design and implement scalable, reliable infrastructure on cloud environments, supporting the needs of our growing SaaS loyalty platform
- Drive our self-service DevOps initiatives forward, empowering engineering teams to autonomously manage their own infrastructure configuration, deployment pipelines and operational tasks on our platform that enforces and maintains baseline best practices and security requirements.
- Establish world-class standards for key DevOps areas such as monitoring/alerting, observability, continuous deployments, configuration management and security.
- Work closely with security and compliance stakeholders to ensure our infrastructure is secure and resilient to attacks, both internal and external.
- Continuously evaluate and improve our DevOps practices, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and security.
- Lead incident response and troubleshooting efforts to resolve production issues in a timely manner.
What you bring to the table
- Proven experience in leading high performing DevOps teams, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity
- Strong expertise in configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
- Expertise to design, analyze and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance principles in cloud environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and results-driven approach to addressing technical challenges and driving process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
