Procurement Buyer (Pharma/Biotech)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the End-to-End Source to Pay process for the Procurement categories (Direct/MRO/Indirect) as assigned and ensure zero stock out of materials.
  • Responsible for negotiating strategic pricing and contractual arrangements for supply.
  • Responsible for the Operational sourcing and procurement activities for the assigned categories in compliance with Global Procurement procedures and standards.
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of Procurement Master Data eg. OA/PIR Contracts and Source list in SAP system.
  • Collaborate with the Quality compliance team on Quality related Supplier complaints and ensure suppliers follow up timely on the investigation report, resolution as well as implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
  • Lead the Local Business Review meetings and Annual Supplier Relationship meetings with Key suppliers to identify opportunities for improvement and mitigating any supply risk and gaps.
  • Support and enforce Third Party Spend Policy and ensure all Procurement activities are in compliance to guidelines as well as not in violation to any regulatory or cGMP requirements.


About You:

  • Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Business, Purchasing, Operations, Supply Chain Management or related field of study. Certified C.P.M. or CPIM is a plus.
  • Minimum 4 or 5 years of relevant working experiences in Procurement or Supply Chain operations in manufacturing, Biopharmaceutical, Pharmaceutical industry with cGMP desirable.
  • Experience in sourcing and procuring GMP/MRO/Indirect materials with Strong negotiation skills & contracts management.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Great team player. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to develop close working relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • Work is performed under limited direction and guidance, with general instructions on new assignments.
  • Participate in developing a course of actions that may impact multiple functions in the organization.
  • Exhibit continuous improvement mindset and innovative thinking.
  • SAP experience is desirable.
  • Good with Microsoft Excel applications.
