Responsibilities:
- Progress and support the delivery of Regional, Country & Site SHE Management Systems, H&S Road Maps and/or Action Plans as relevant to their site.
- Support site management in meeting their health and safety responsibilities, and in delivering a safe working environment across their sites.
- Monitor site compliance against both local legislation and/or site standards, particularly with regards to safety critical equipment and systems, ensuring any non-compliance is both reported and actioned.
- Liaise with the relevant Regional H&S Manager.
- Ensuring all relevant site data for monthly, annual and/or interim reports is submitted, including progress against any relevant actions i.e., as a result of an internal or external audit.
- Agree and implement site audit schedules, ensuring critical risks such as confined space entry, working at height, working with electricity, fire and explosion, are adequately controlled as a priority.
- Create strategy for employee engagement in SHE, including frequent interactions with the team about SHE, solicit their concerns, ideas, and challenges, and respond to employee concerns related to EHS.
- Create SHE framework strategy and proactively assist SHE framework element champions with assessment and implementation.
- Identify SHE issues and work with a team to pursue solutions, escalating issues to leadership as required.
- Communicate to internal customers and regulators about SHE MS system and compliance requirements.
- Drive incident reporting and investigation process at site, support leadership on comprehensive root cause analysis and action plans, track all CAPA completion.
- Maintain compliance and enhance policy, procedure, and related documentation for functional areas to describe standard work, best practices, and lessons learned.
- Support Risk assessment and SOP process.
- Support Site Management and the Regional H&S Manager in identifying and addressing H&S training and capability requirements.
- Facilitate, assist, and inform the site SHE committee.
- Monitoring all safety equipment and emergency equipment are in good condition.
About You:
- Food industry experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, environment or equivalent engineering.
- At least 5 years SHE related working experience as site SHE leader.
- Local formal qualification in SHE or relevant experience
- Be familiar with local SHE laws, regulations, and standards.
- Auditing qualification and/or relevant experience will be preferred.
- Good communication and SHE management skill, good team player in a cross-functional team, demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Language requirements: English and Mandarin is a must.
- Good organization skill to promote SHE activities and awareness of distributed teams.
