IT Deputy Manager

A member of the corporate team that manages the IT operations in a new start-up private limited company which coordinates the national effort to undertake the electrical infrastructure upgrades and deployment of electric vehicle charging points (EVCPs) primarily in Singapore’s residential carparks. The Deputy IT Manager will support the Senior IT Manager to manage the IT operations relating to the company’s overall computer infrastructure (including computer systems, servers, and data security systems) and maintain a reliable, safe and secured IT environment for smooth, effective and efficient operations for the company.


Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for the management of IT operations and environment, as part of ensuring adequate provision of a safe, secured, and reliable IT solutions/support to end users. This entails but is not limited to the following:

  • Assist with onboarding & offboarding of staff, ensuring that hardware is available and staff accounts are properly set up for employees.
  • Manage periodical upgrade and installation of new hardware and software, perform troubleshooting to resolve IT issues, and assess viruses and potential threats to a company’s network. This includes i) monitoring of the vendor SLA to ensure performance of the managed service level 1 support; ii) Providing Tier 1-2 IT technical support for staff, which includes notebook/system/email/wireless network/VPN & Internet connectivity; iii) Handling of escalation seamlessly to avoid any gaps that may arise to meet or exceed SLA.
    • Work with managed service team to develop guidelines, processes, and procedures, etc and continuously improve operation support, escalation management and monitoring support.
  • Ensure IT Infrastructure availability and performance.
  • Manage all IT infrastructure/systems according to company standards and aligned with standard practices.
  • With regards to procedure, standards, and policy, i) perform yearly assessment of the existing related documents and perform necessary changes or escalation to conclude the findings if any; and ii) Handle Security Incident according to defined protocol and workflow, evaluate risk and impact, escalate to higher level if require.
  • Monitor the use of anomaly emails, backup data and perform data recovery if needed.
  • Enforce end user device’s policies and procedures to meet the IT legislative requirements.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects management.
  • Assist in promoting user awareness in security protection.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary education in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience in both cloud and on-premises infrastructure
  • Possesses IT Infrastructure & Security management skills.
  • Possesses IT Service Management experience.
  • Solid understanding of Cloud & Azure Platforms
  • Administration on full suite of Microsoft M365 & Intune.
  • Possesses good communication skills in oral presentations and written documentation.
  • Good knowledge in cloud technology, systems architecture, integration, and migration.
  • Web Application Solutioning (good to have)
  • Hands-on team player
  • Good communication skills in oral presentations and written documentation.
  • Good vendor & project management skills
