Responsibilities
The MLT will be responsible for maintaining the various POCT equipment throughout the hospital.
· Assist to monitor and review daily and monthly QC at various POCT testing sites
· Monitor daily results transmission from middleware to LIS (Laboratory Information System) to ensure all POCT results are successfully transmitted
· Assist to troubleshoot POCT devices
· Liaise with vendor, IT team and other stakeholders to resolve issues
· Assist to conduct method correlations, analytical precision, calibration verification, etc
· Assist to co-ordinate and facilitate external Proficiency (CAP survey) testing, and collate, submit, review and evaluate survey results
· Participate in accreditation inspections by external auditors
· Assist with the planning and facilitation of internal POCT audit for hospital wide POCT devices
· Conduct training and re-certification of personnel performing POCT
· Conduct competency testing on POCT personnel
· Manage POCT stock inventory to ensure sufficient supply for POCT users
Requirements
· Degree in Biomedical Science or any other relevant discipline
· Possess good interpersonal skills and preferably with prior experience in clinical laboratory
· Possess good organisation, coordination, communication, and computer skills
· Able to work independently as well as a team in a fast-paced environment
