Summary:
To be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of designated fleet of vehicles.
Fleet Maintenance:
- Maintain the upkeep of a fleet of vehicles.
- (E.g., SCDF Command Vehicles, Next-generation Fast Response Car (FRC), Tactical Vehicle (TAV), general-purpose cars, protected public order carriers, motorcycles, armed response cars, pursuit cars, prisoner transport vans, transfer of plant and equipment …etc.)
- Providing reports/presentations to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance, and fleet progress
- Maintaining end-to-end accountability for customer satisfaction and overall delivery excellence within specific service level agreement.
- Inventory Management:
- Understanding the pipeline of demand and work with the Resource Planners to ensure an appropriate supply of resources and spare equipment
- Procurement:
- Source and Issue PO to vendor for vehicle repair work.
- Coordinating the efforts of internal/external stakeholders and Service Providers to support the fleet maintenance process
Requirements
- A diploma in Mechanical Engineering and/or a related degree; or equivalent work experience
- Good understanding of engineering and maintenance practices, parts supply and support strategies within a fleet service environment
- Understanding of significant legislative and Regulatory constraints e.g. Motor Vehicle Type Approval Regulations, Provision and Use of Work Equipment, Health & Safety etc.
- Experience managing external vendors, commercial negotiations
- Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.
- Possess a driving license
- Ability to manage risk and encourage strategic risk management-based delivery in others to manage expectations and communicate effectively.
- Preferably with 2 years’ experience in heavy vehicle Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
- Preferably with 2 years’ experience in commercial vehicle fleet management.
- Basic network/infra knowledge (E.g., switches, routers, firewalls, certificates) required.
