Job Responsibilities
- Study, check and analyse contract documents such as scope of works, specifications and drawings, etc.
- Study existing equipment, maintenance schedule & procedures and coordinate with clients, subcontractors and competent engineers to execute the work accordingly. Propose new schedule if there is plant operational constraint.
- Preparation of check list, test forms and reports in accordance with specifications and relevant standards.
- Planning and liaising with company engaged licensed charge men and competent engineers.
- Application of permit to work (PTW) for the relevant works.
- Check the existing equipment including brand/model/part number for replacement and make necessary enquiry to suppliers for that equipment supply and delivery and supervision to replace the faulty equipment and commissioning. Where the same existing equipment brand/model/part number are obsolete or not available, to find other equivalent, propose and look for clients’ approval.
- Attending of power failure and fault/breakdown maintenance whenever required.
- Supervision on HT, LT Switchboards, Transformers, Battery Chargers, lightings & power and ancillaries for maintenance, servicing, testing and commissioning.
- Supervising on checking and testing of electrical system earthing and lightning protection system.
- Supervising on maintenance of lighting, power, air-conditioning and fire alarm system.
- Preparation and submitting of maintenance reports to client.
- Attending site meetings and safety meeting as and when required.
- Strictly follow rule and regulations set out by authorities and clients.
- Ensure the workplace safety and good housekeeping.
- Ensure all personnel involved in the works are wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) all the time throughout the works.
Job Requirements
- Electrical engineering degree or diploma holder with minimally 3 years of working experiences in electrical installation and maintenance in industrial plants.
- Technical skills and knowledge of HT, LT Switchboards, Transformers, Battery Chargers, lightings & power and ancillaries for maintenance, servicing, testing and commissioning.
- Knowledge on partial discharge test and infrared thermal scanning.
- Entry Level are also welcome.
