Production Engineer Responsibilities:
- Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
- Estimate costs and prepare budgets
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
- Monitor production to resolve issues
- Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
- Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
- Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
- Ensure output meets quality standards
- Enforce health and safety precautions
- Report to upper management
- Supervising the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner.
- Liaising with other engineers to develop plans that improve production, costs, and labor required.
- Diagnosing problems in the production line and providing recommendations and training.
- Establishing safety procedures and protocols that take the workers' well-being into account, and that also minimize the carbon footprint.
- operate, calibrate, and know well maintain machinery, as well as inspect finished products to ensure quality work.
- Keeping abreast of advancements in engineering and production, and sharing knowledge with co-workers.
- Identifying, documenting, and reporting unsafe practices.
- Drawing up production schedules and budgets for projects.
- Scheduling meetings with relevant departments and stakeholders.
- Analyzing all facets of production and making recommendations for improvement.
- Obtaining any materials and equipment required.
- Oversaw mold setup/mold changes and adjusted processes to
- ensure product quality.
- Material Processing (PC, HIPS, ABS, Nylon GF,PPTF.POM,PPCP,PP)
- Oversaw production on 16 injection molding machines,
- maintaining lean manufacturing principles..
- Operated and supervised MILACRON (EQ&M) Series, ANGEL,
- HAITIAN, TEDERIC, and TON (80 to 2800) injection molding
- machines.
- Conducted analysis and improvement activities for new mold
- trials, resulting in enhanced product quality.
- Monitored and improved Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- on the shop floor, achieving productivity gains.
Production Engineer Requirements:
- Degree in engineering (Plastic moulding Technology)
- Relevant license may be required.
- Experience with CAD software.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Proven experience in the engineering field.
- Superb analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
