JOB PURPOSE

You will work closely with the HoD and share collective responsibilities in meeting the team’s fundraising objectives. You will lead the direct donor partnerships team and work closely with the team to cultivate major donors / regular gifts. You will manage a team of fundraisers and be responsible for implementing effective fundraising initiatives, managing a portfolio of existing and new donors, building strong partnerships with our existing partners and acquiring new ones to ensure sustainable and long-term funding for our local

programmes / services.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

● Lead the development of fundraising initiatives for implementation by the direct donor partnerships (DDP) programme to meet the fundraising target.

● Oversee the execution of the DDP fundraising plan by working closely with the team leaders on areas including but not limited to performance management, recruitment, remuneration, deployment and donor stewardship.

● Working closely with the team leaders to manage and oversee the day to day operations of the direct donor partnerships team.

● Build and strengthen the relationships with the donors and stakeholders through active and regular portfolio reviews, and maintaining a high-level of engagement

● Actively solicit and source for strategic partnerships and conduct donor prospecting to expand the donors pool and secure major gifts.

● Undertake mentoring and coaching role to the team leaders and fundraisers


JOB SPECIFICATION

Qualifications & Experience:

● Minimum diploma or equivalent

● Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising, with a minimum of 2 years in supervisory role

● Demonstrated successful fundraising experience, including personal and corporate solicitation


Skills & Knowledge:

● Self-motivated and highly collaborative; possess strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills with a can-do attitude

● Ability to lead a passionate and experienced team towards success

● Ability to identify and develop solutions to challenges, business development opportunities, collaboration opportunities, and/or process improvement solutions

● High degree of customer/ donor service orientation, results-oriented and passionate about humanitarian service
