Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement and Logistics Specialist to join our team in Singapore. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing our procurement processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services. Additionally, you will oversee the logistics operations, coordinating shipments, and maintaining efficient inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in procurement, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Conduct regular performance assessments and negotiations to ensure optimal terms and conditions.
Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end logistics process within the ASEAN region, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Collaborate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to streamline logistics operations.
- Monitor and resolve any transportation issues or delays.
Procurement:
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers, considering quality, cost, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
- Responsible for initiating orders with suppliers, coordinating product delivery, and managing payment request
Inventory Management:
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control measures to optimize stock levels.
- Conduct regular inventory assessments, forecasting, and analysis to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
Quality Control:
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Implement quality control processes and procedures to mitigate risks.
- Create product failure report with corrective action suggestion and share with management and team
- Manage and assist in product functionality testing upon receipt from supplier/manufacturer
Documentation and Compliance:
- Ensure all procurement, logistics and inventory documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Stay updated on import/export laws and regulations in ASEAN region.
Requirements:
- 2-4+ years of experience in operations management or a related field, preferably within the industry parameters of Willowmore
- Minimum Diploma/Degree Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Fluent proficiency in English, Mandarin and Bahasa would be highly desirable
- Strong personal leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationship
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems, spot opportunities and work in support of other teams
- Proactive personality
- A strong desire to promote and implement positive change within the business
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for operational analysis and reporting
