Business Analyst – Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of business objectives, gather requirements, and identify opportunities for process enhancement.
- Analyse user stories, use cases, and requirements to assess their validity and feasibility.
- Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization.
- Develop and document comprehensive business requirements, user stories, and use cases to guide solution development.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit requirements, gather feedback, and ensure alignment among stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and project managers, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Perform data analysis and interpretation to support decision-making and provide valuable insights to stakeholders.
- Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments to evaluate proposed solutions.
- Assist in the development and execution of test plans, ensuring solutions meet quality standards and user expectations.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the business domain.
- Collaborate closely with other team members and departments to ensure seamless communication and understanding of project goals.
- Execute all levels of testing, including system, integration, and regression testing.
- Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies, providing timely solutions.
- Apply quality engineering principles throughout the agile product lifecycle.
- Provide support and documentation for testing processes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 4-8 years of experience in Information Technology with proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring efficient time management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in gathering and documenting business requirements using industry-standard techniques and tools.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, project management principles and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Knowledge of business process modelling and workflow tools.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Business analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) are a plus.
