What is the job about?
Deliver consistently high Customer satisfaction on behalf of the Global Indirect team within Group Purchasing as business Partner for the group functions and business stakeholders. Conduct Value Based Sourcing within
the logistics category. A continuously optimization of the Operational Excellence, Innovation and Sustainability delivered from Suppliers. TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) optimization in the Logistics industry/category. The role reports to Logistics CoE (Centre of Expertise) Head .
Your main responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing Process related activities:
- Responsible to develop sourcing strategy to support Business strategy and roadmap
- Manage a portfolio of supplies with regards to development, implementation, and alignment between Global and Regional sourcing strategies
- Provide leadership in supply market intelligence research and analysis activities for visibility in key cost drivers and market trends, industry best practices
- Responsible for value & savings delivery for the category
- Optimize suppliers portfolio
- Lead negotiations/tendering process
- Ensure favorable and compliant contracts closure implementation and management
- Act as a Business Partner for the Group function: understand the business strategies, needs and requirements while challenge requirements, policies, existing solutions and concepts
Ensure foundation for Supplier Relationship Management, data transparency and reporting abilities for indirect suppliers, including but not limited to:
- Facilitation of business reviews
- Definition and maintenance of preferred suppliers lists
- Suppliers performance assessment and development
- Savings, cost avoidance, spend per net sales
- Days Payable outstanding
- Value creation beyond price through collaborative development of spend management, supplier portfolio and performance, quality, sustainability, partnership and innovation
- Supplier performance assessed against Grundfos key business requirements within the category
- Contracts management with external suppliers in compliance with Group policies, standards and requirements on sustainability, ethics and Grundfos values
Your background:
We imagine that you have:
- Being enthusiastic about logistics and supporting climate impact projects
- Good English communication in written and spoken
- Minimum 5 years professional experience within sourcing in a global organization for the specific category
- Experienced in communicating at senior executive level as well as other levels internally as well as externally (typical counterpart in relationships and strategic negotiations will be managing directors or senior executives)
- Analytical and strategic thinking, have good computer skills like database, power-point etc
- Result- and action oriented
- Persuading and Influencing skill
- Capable of traveling (approximately 30%)
- Experience formulating logistics strategies and concepts
- Able to visualize logistics strategies and concepts
- Capable delivering results and meeting customer expectations
