With expansion plan into Asia Pacific region, they are seeking a driven Freight Director to drives the company's sales and operational strategic direction to ensure we are positioned to handle growth in the most efficient manner.
Job Description
You will be required to develop and implement strategic plans to optimize performance, for aggressive increase market share, and maintain a competitive edge for Freight Division. This role will be based in Singapore.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize performance, for aggressive increase market share, and maintain a competitive edge
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and partners to enhance business partnerships and opportunities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Coordinate execution of global procurement strategy for freight forwarding at country level (end-to-end incl. inland logistics and depot as well as demurrage management)
- Provide guidelines to freight forwarding teams to properly translate global requirements regarding capacity management into country specific tasks and follows performance
The Successful Applicant
You should possess a degree in Supply Chain or related studies and you must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the logistics industry, with a proven track record of success in a senior leadership role. In-depth knowledge and understanding of logistics operations, and supply chain management. Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills with the ability to work in a fast paced and collaborative environment is essential.
