The Operations Manager will be responsible for the execution of large scale bridge deck construction by segmental methods, stay cable construction, Post Tensioning and Bearing Replacement in Asia Pacific.
Roles & Responsibilities
Primary accountabilities
- Leading your direct report operations team, setting priorities, reviewing performance, assisting with recruitment on projects and management of staffing issues.
- Oversee project safety performance, ensuring safety risks are managed and good safety practices are consistently adopted.
- Oversee commercial process and where required get involved in commercial management and contract administration issues for relevant projects.
- Know your contract and ensure that contracts are administered properly regarding delay claims and notification by project managers
- Support Projects Managers to establish and manage the required arrangements with sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Strong client relationships to ensure expectations are defined and understood by all parties.
Skills & Experience
- The candidate must have a minimum of 14 years experience in specialized construction with at least 10 years on Major Project Management for segmental bridge, stay cable post tensioning and structural repair.
- The candidate must be familiar with FDIC and NEC contracts.
- The candidate is required to travel in the region of Asia, Pacific and Europe.
- Fluent in English.
- Understanding of French will be an added asset as the job requires frequent communication with the technical department, production / manufacture rand our company headquarter in France
