This is a 12- Months Contract role based in Singapore.
Subsea Network Cabling experience is a MUST HAVE.
Requirement
- Provide support for multiple subsea cables O&M, and promptly troubleshoot a range of issues.
- Execute fault isolation based on the results of troubleshooting.
- Liaise with NOC, smart hands, and equipment manufacturers to resolve problems and reinstate service.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and cross-regionally with other network operational support groups.
- Work in conjunction with, and escalate to, various internal teams in pursuit of service restoration and impact minimization.
- Handle and escalate critical events while communicating in a clear and concise manner. Record and enhance operational processes and procedures.
- Assist in the development of monitors, alerts, dashboards, and metrics to facilitate continuous improvements.
- Recognize areas for automation and contribute to or participate in the solution using scripting or coding abilities.
- Assist with deployment activities and operational readiness.
- Collaborate with audit teams to ensure inventory and documentation accuracy.
Qualifications
- Experience in Subsea Operations, Deployments, and Technology is a MUST HAVE with 8-10 years of industry experience.
- Proficiency and experience in Subsea and DWDM technology.
- Understanding of Subsea technology including open cables, WSS ROADMs, Branching Units, and Repeaters.
- Experience in comprehending architecture for system dependencies and translating these into implementable solutions.
- Experience in situation analysis, troubleshooting, systems and tools, and problem resolution.
- Experience in managing and switching BU’s, WSS BU’s.
- Experience in handling PFE and troubleshooting complex subsea power and grounding issues.
- Technical expertise in telecommunication networks in the subsea optical transport networks including DWDM, network infrastructures, IP Networking equipment, optical testing, optical measurement principles, experience with the photonic layer.
- Experience in CLS Management including facilities maintenance and security.
- Experience in identifying key metrics/measures that will be used to assess success and validate the business impact of the program.
- Experience in Subsea O&M including (but not limited to), marine repair and maintenance (including depot testing and sparing), marine repair dispatch, and spares loading.
- Practical experience with CLS tools and test equipment, in managing landing party use and setup of equipment during repairs.
- Knowledge of DCN operations, management, network security, and architectures.
- Experience in documentation and communication.
- Familiarity with the Network Management system (NMS), Element Management system (EMS), and CLI interfaces of different vendor platforms.
- Capacity to operate independently, strong analytical skills, coupled with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
