Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all finance and accounting functions within the Group entities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating the timely release of financial results. This role requires a proactive individual with a background in finance, preferably holding a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification and prior experience in a listed company setting. The Finance Manager will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, company secretaries, and legal advisors, to uphold financial integrity and drive operational excellence.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs and oversees all aspects of finance and accounting functions of the Group entities.
- Ensure timely closing of monthly management accounts, and half-yearly and full-year release of financial results to SGX-NT.
- Oversees the financial operations of foreign subsidiaries.
- Preparation of operating / Capex budgets for the Board’s approval.
- Coordinate the preparation of the Annual Report, and be responsible for the integrity of financial information therein.
- Assists the Executive Director in managing the operational aspects of manufacturing and business activities, including review of legal agreements and documentation.
- Maintain relations with internal auditors, external auditors, company secretaries, and lawyers. Investigate their findings and recommendation and ensure the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Personal Attributes:
- Professional qualifications in accounting with a minimum of 5 years working experience, Preferably a degree holder in Accountancy or CPA, ACCA graduate.
- At least 3 years in supervisory/managerial roles. Working experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Hand-on experience in financial management and experience in handling SGX reporting requirements.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken), and ability to communicate in Mandarin in order to effectively communicate with the stakeholder based in China.
- Excellent communication skills, able to interact confidently with high-level management/board.
