Duration: This is a contractual position with a contract period from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, with the option to extend for a further period of 1 year based on performance and mutual agreement.
Working Hours:
- Mondays to Thursdays: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (inclusive of 0.5-hour lunch break)
- Fridays: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (inclusive of 0.5-hour lunch break)
- No service required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
Position Overview: Huamin Primary School is seeking a competent Printing Services Support Officer to join our team. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the in-house printing requirements of the school, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of printing tasks, and providing administrative support during peak periods. This position requires an individual with strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bulk printing and duplicating services using in-house photocopier machines, ensuring high-quality printouts that meet printing requests.
- Complete finishing works on printouts such as corner-stapling, hole-punching, collating by class, and saddle-stitching as required.
- Support the Examination Committee in printing, collating, moving, and safekeeping examination papers under prevailing tightened measures.
- Maintain and update the stationery inventory in the printing room, ensuring adequate supplies are available for printing tasks.
- Liaise with printer companies to coordinate the procurement of machine consumables and address any maintenance issues promptly.
- Provide front office support during peak periods such as recess time and dismissal, including performing simple administration duties as needed.
- Undertake any other duties assigned by the supervisor to support the efficient operation of the printing services.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Possess at least a GCE āNā Level certification or equivalent.
- Ability to operate printing machines effectively, with prior experience preferred.
- Proficient in basic literacy and numeracy skills to accurately perform printing tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure printing jobs are completed accurately and timely.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff.
- Preferably, a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in printing or related fields.
