- Support end-to-end tender and pricing processes for ocean freight forwarding services in the APAC region.
- Coordinate with sales and forwarding department to gather priority information and entry into tender submissions.
- Analyze tender documents to understand requirements and scope of work.
- Prepare tender documents, ensure the requirements are met and that crucial tender fields are completed with accuracy.
- Ensure prompt tender submission as per client’s deadlines.
- Support in planning and preparing tender proposals.
- Conduct market research to identify potential tender opportunities, well-informed of industry trends, competitor’s tender strategies and client preferences.
- Review previous tender submissions and provide continuous feedback to improve quality and effectiveness of tender proposals.
- Monitor pricing performance and develop pricing strategies to remain competitive in the industry.
- Build and maintain carrier relationships to facilitate negotiations and good access to competitive rates.
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotations of client’s shipping requirements.
- Support AFH sea procurement, sales, and operations teams to identify and create business opportunities.
- Participate in the review, improvements and standardization of work processes and procedures to improve efficiency of the Headquarters meeting ISO standard.
Requirements
- At least 3 ~ 5 years work experience in tender operations and pricing functions in freight forwarding industry.
- Good working experience in pricing and tendering operations and strategies in ocean freight forwarding.
- Possess good connections with carriers especially in Singapore,
- Good ability to strategize and solve problems,
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Possess high awareness and interests about improvements, growth and adopting new business models & technologies.
