Duration: This is a contractual position with a contract period from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, with the option to extend for a further period of two years based on performance and mutual agreement.

Working Hours:

  • Mondays to Tuesdays & Thursdays to Fridays: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
  • Wednesdays: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
  • No service required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.


Position Overview: St. Margaret’s School (Secondary) is seeking a competent Operations Support Officer to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of school activities and events. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain the general cleanliness of equipment and the workplace to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  2. Provide logistical support for school events and activities, including the transportation, arrangement, and set up of furniture and equipment as required.
  3. Assist in general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation to support the efficient operation of the school office.
  4. Operate and maintain basic office equipment and materials, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  5. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors to contribute to the overall objectives of the school.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Prior experience in cleaning, logistics, or simple administrative duties would be advantageous.
  • Physical fitness and resilience to effectively perform the duties of the role.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment.
