- To lead the end-to-end tender process for ocean freight forwarding services in the APAC region.
- Collaborate with sales and forwarding department to develop competitive tender strategies aligned with market situation, trends, and company business objectives for the Region.
- Review and conduct detailed analysis of tender requirements to identify and formulate strategies to win tender.
- Prepare tender documents, ensure the requirements are met and that crucial tender fields are completed with accuracy.
- Plan tender timeline and ensure prompt submission as per client’s deadlines.
- Prepare tender proposals to put emphasis on the company’s strengths and capabilities to create a positive impact on clients.
- Perform review on each tender process and outcome to identify areas for improvement to enter tenders with increased winning rates.
- Gather, monitor, and analyze market situation, conditions industry trends, and competitor’s pricing to strategically develop competitive pricing and planning for target trade lanes.
- Support sales team in their negotiation to secure contractual agreements with clients that are favorable to both parties.
- Work with procurement, sales, and operations teams to identify and create business opportunities.
- Work with AFH Management to develop tendering strategy that contributes to LD group’s tender winning ratio.
- To liaise with LD group companies’ stakeholders.
- To review, improve and standardize work processes and procedures to improve efficiency of the Headquarters meeting ISO standard,
- To review and delegate job task to ensure staff is working efficiently,
- To evaluate & appraise of subordinate’s work performance for management review,
- Analyze ocean freight market, customer trend and handling volume of LD group etc. to effectively update the region wide tender and pricing strategy and suggest it to the management.
Requirements
- At least 5 ~ 7 years work experience in tender operations and pricing functions in freight forwarding industry.
- Good working experience in pricing and tendering operations and strategies in ocean freight forwarding.
- Possess good connections with carriers especially in Singapore,
- Good ability to strategize and solve problems,
- Possess strong leadership and organizational skills,
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Possess high awareness and interests about improvements, growth and adopting new business models & technologies.
