Job Description:
- Manage daily accounting entries including timely recording of bank transactions.
- Perform daily review on operating expenses to ensure reasonableness, timeliness and accuracy of entries and collaborate with other departments for cost-related data.
- Perform daily and monthly cost reconciliation within trading and accounting system.
- Responsible in verifying bunker transactions in accounting system.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing of accounts.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accounting records.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Responsible for monthly AR and AP analysis and monitor the overdue status.
- Liaise with related parties for monthly intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Handle fixed assets and lease accounting.
- Handle staff claims to ensure accuracy and completeness of related supporting documents.
- Assist in submission of reports for group reporting purpose.
- Assist in providing information as required for statutory tax and audit issues.
- Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing, statutory tax and audit filing requirement.
- Support implementation and enhancement of accounting system.
- Handle ad-hoc projects as and when required by the Management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent. Professional qualification (such as ACCA or CPA) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in audit experience or oil and gas experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Experience in SAP system is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin (to liaise with China counterparties).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Meticulous and attention to details.
- Able to meet tight deadlines and willing to work overtime occasionally.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team and covering for other colleagues when needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
