Roles and Responsibilities:
· Managing overall project delivery to the customer, ensuring that work is completed on time, is within budget, and is consistent with client and company requirements.
· Overseeing and approving procedures while liaising with stakeholders, both onshore and offshore.
· Ensuring that operations run smoothly each consecutive day of its full duration, chairing HIRAs, and making sure that all documentation is produced to a high standard for As-Built Reporting.
· Maximizing contributions and meeting contractual obligations and schedules.
· Supervising all subordinate project personnel.
· Directly liaising with managers/supervisors in charge of project matters (i.e. procurement/drafting/assets / human resources).
· Specifying the scope of work and budgets for engineering activities, assets, and third-party activities.
· Familiarising oneself with all items and conditions encompassed within the respective project, both technically and commercially, with a complete understanding of the scope of work.
· Implementing, controlling and monitoring the overall safety and quality assurance of all project-related activities as specified in the Company’s management system.
· Preparing and maintaining project budgets, with assistance from the cost controller in detailing costs and sales revenues.
· Preparing the monthly internal and external reports.
· Identifying variations in actual costs and the project’s budget, monitoring and controlling them as required.
· Communicating variations in actual costs and project budget to the client, with approval/rejection of these variations based on the contract’s T&C.
· Liaising with the customer, ensuring that project meetings are held with the relevant personnel.
· Acquiring all the resources that are required to carry out the project from the respective departments.
· Encouraging technical developments or suggestions that may enhance overall project engineering or operational efficiency.
· Ensuring that all aspects of project administration, engineering and operations fulfil contractual requirements and are conducted in a safe, efficient, and profitable manner.
· Conducting all activities within the management system, procedures, and work instructions.
· Advising and assisting the commercial department with tenders for potential work.
· Ad-hoc duties as deemed required to complete the work scope.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience
· A degree, or equivalent, qualification is preferred, but not essential.
· A minimum of 10 years of experience in a sub-sea-related discipline.
· A demonstrated understanding of, and an ability to apply, offshore engineering principles.
· A demonstrated ability to apply commercial awareness to activities undertaken.
· An ability to manage and motivate large teams of personnel, with the capacity to effectively communicate with individuals of all designations.
· An ability to co-ordinate a multi-operational project.
· A high level of problem-solving and decision-making skills,
· A capacity for managing change, and conducting risk assessments.
Competencies
· Is safety-focused with demonstrable adherence to regulatory requirements.
· Adopts a customer-focused approach with sound commercial awareness.
· Has good working knowledge of offshore and inshore air/nitrox diving activities with relevant experience with HSE regulations and trade industry body guidelines.
· Is knowledgeable in Inspection-Type ROV operations.
· Is experienced in Offshore diving operations from DSVs.
· Has sufficient understanding of DSV charter parties.
· Has valid knowledge of all risks that are associated with various diving operations and locations of exposure.
