Finance Executive

The Finance Executive will have a primary focus in AR, AP, deposits and Month-end Closing. The Executive will provide support to the Assistant Finance Manager.


Critical Work Functions


Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Responsible in AR function - invoicing and fee payments for programmes and AR Aging
  • Maintain financial records of daily collections and deposits in Quickbooks, including cashiering duties.

Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Assist in AP function and AP Aging
  • Assist to ensure all payable invoices and claims are paid on schedule and supported with complete approval documents

Donation/Grant

  • Create, update and maintain records of donation/grant entries in Donor Management System (DMS) and perform monthly reconciliation
  • Work closely with Fundraising team on donation/grant/funding collections
  • Maintain proper documentation for all donations, funds, grants or receipts

Reporting

  • Assist in GST filing quarterly
  • Preparation of month-end closing journals and respective schedules
  • Facilitate in financial reporting

Resource Planning

  • Utilise resources in a cost-effective manner and complete administrative work timely
  • Work within budget allocated for the financial year

Internal Processes

  • Comply with established policies, procedures, processes and workflows
  • Create and maintain department SOPs and workflows, when needed

Others

  • Work closely with programmes sectors on AR and AP matters
  • Assist Finance team with any financial reporting as assigned
  • Any other duties as assigned by the management from time to time

Education, Skills, and Competencies


Education and Experience

  • Diploma with Accountancy, Finance or related qualification
  • At least 2 years in a related capacity

Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Experience in using accounting software
  • Able to use Excel for analytics
