The role of the Head of Sustainability is to act as the sustainability lead for all activities undertaken through the companies’ services and by the companies’ staff. The role will cover the strategic formulation and execution of sustainability initiatives across the region.


The role requires stakeholder engagement to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for sustainability initiatives. The role will incorporate sustainability into core business functions including not only client services but also Commercial, Finance, HR, Win Work, Legal, Marketing & Communications, and HSE.


The role will also form strategic partnerships with government bodies and industry peers to enhance the impact of sustainability efforts and influence industry best practices in the built environment.


Duties of the role include:

  • Holding overall responsibility for the formulation, implementation, and achievement of the regional sustainability management action plan (SMAP), representing the region into central corporate ESG reporting and leadership.
  • Leading efforts to integrate sustainability considerations into the core of design, advisory and operations services.
  • Supporting the facilitation of sustainability transformation programme.
  • Representing the regional business as a regional lead for global corporate initiatives on Engineering Net Zero (ENZ) and related digital solution or services (as the SME technical lead) and transformation items.
  • Providing and undertaking sustainability client services together with the sustainability/environment service lines.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or professional certification in ESG, Environmental Science or Policy, Climate Change or other sustainability related fields
  • At least 10 years of working experience in ESG-related fields
  • Exposure to strategy work within a government agency or corporate would be advantageous
  • Strong project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver and execute projects and partnerships
  • Strong analytical, presentation (written and oral) and project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and have exceptional attention to detail while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
