Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer with over 7 years of troubleshooting and debugging expertise, particularly in Informatica products such as Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), PowerCenter, Cloud Data Governance and Catalog, Operational Insights, and TestData Management. The successful candidate will play a critical role in resolving complex technical issues, ensuring the smooth operation and performance optimization of Informatica products for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Informatica installation, upgrade, Hotfix application, Service Pack, and Cumulative Patch applications.
- Debug issues pertaining to EDC domain/nodes, Informatica Cluster Service, and Catalog Service startup issues.
- Assist in integrating LDAP, Kerberos, and SAML SSO with Informatica domain.
- Provide support to customers for the installation and configuration of MetaDex.
- Configure and renew SSL certificates for Informatica domain, nodes, and application services.
- Perform LDM backup or restore and Cluster cleanup activities as required.
- Debug issues faced with various EDC scanner types including Database Management, Data Integration, Cloud, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, File Management, Business Glossary, and Informatica Platform resources.
- Work with Out Of The Box and custom Data Domains, System, and Custom attributes.
- Troubleshoot issues related to custom resources and custom lineage resources.
- Assist in troubleshooting Profiling, Data Discovery, and Business Terms configuration in scanners.
- Schedule resources' run and manage Users/Groups Permission on resources/data.
- Resolve Lineage and Impact related issues by ensuring proper/correct connection assignment.
- Perform asset enrichments and resolve associated issues.
- Execute various Catalog activities from UI as well as using REST API.
- Configure Offline scanners using Scanner command-line utilities.
- Curate data domains using Catalog UI and REST API methods.
- Conduct Bulk upload using Catalog UI and REST API for various catalog activities.
- Handle issues related to PowerCenter High-Availability and GRID.
- Identify, debug, and resolve PowerCenter sessions/workflows performance issues.
- Address codepage related issues.
- Assist customers in deploying Repository objects from one Repository Service to another.
- Utilize various deployment methods like export/import, folder copy, and deployment groups.
- Use command-line utilities to perform several Repository and Integration Service operations.
- Fix issues observed in using parameter and variables in PowerCenter.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Over 7 years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on troubleshooting/debugging Informatica products.
- Strong understanding of Informatica architecture and components.
- Proficiency in debugging and resolving complex technical issues.
- Experience with integrating Informatica products with LDAP, Kerberos, and SAML SSO.
- Hands-on experience with SSL certificate management for Informatica products.
- Familiarity with Informatica PowerCenter High-Availability and GRID.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications in Informatica products are a plus.
