The Vice President, Design Services (APAC) is responsible for the oversight of all design and construction related activities for new build projects and major CAPEX projects within the region. This is including but not limited to problem-solving, project design development/management, developing and implementing brand standards as necessary to keep each project on schedule and in budget and to, to provide consistency throughout all relevant FS properties.
This role is based in our Corporate Office Singapore reporting to the Senior Vice President, Design Services (Global) and will be supporting the design and construction needs for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The role requires travel based on project status and could be expected around 40% of the time.
Project Coordination
- Set clear department direction for a team of internal and external individuals tasked with providing design and architecture direction for projects/brands within the Four Seasons organization.
- Formulate, evaluate and execute an innovative and cutting-edge design and architecture strategy in line with the Company’s vision and values using all relevant resources and respecting sustainable design criteria to achieve the company’s short, mid and long-term objectives.
- Support and guide owners/developers/consultants with design and architecture reviews, analysis and provides feedback to develop new projects.
- Provide leadership that fosters a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction; promotes quality hiring, training, and succession planning that encompass the Company’s diversity commitment.
Department Strategic Development
- Develop and sustain strong vendor/consultant and developer relationships to drive and manage the Company’s design strategy.
- Represent FS Design Services at strategic industry events to develop and strengthen the company’s position as the leader in its segment within the entertainment and hospitality industry.
- Oversee guardianship of FS Brand Standards ensuring adherence by the Company’s business partners and make innovative recommendations as trends change.
Initiatives and Special Projects
- Work directly with SVP, Design Services on special projects as required.
- Lead internal Design and Construction initiatives (i.e., ESG, DIB, etc) as required.

- Strong knowledge of construction and design process within the luxury segment of hospitality.
Other Prerequisites – Professional, Educational and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design or a related field required.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience managing the development, design, engineering, and construction of luxury hotels and resorts, residential, mixed-use hospitality and entertainment projects in domestic and international markets or related field.
- Architecture license and LEED certification required.
