Responsibilities
- Interacting with clients across the Design & Build journey;
- Working closely with Principal Architect and other stakeholders (QS, Project Manager, Site Manager) throughout the design development and implementation stages
- Developing project briefs and working on them in parallel with the build process. Candidate must be comfortable working closely with clients to finalize design details;
- Preparing design proposals using AutoCAD and traditional drawing methods;
- Contributing to planning applications and other regulatory application procedures;
- Collaborating with our in-house construction and QS teams to evaluate design aspects of a construction project for cost and functional considerations;
- Preparing and producing construction documents and specifications, including quality control of work produced by more junior staff/direct reports;
- Making site visits to check on progress and ensuring that the project is on time;
- Solving problems that might occur during building/construction stage;
- Carrying out defect inspections;
- Developing and collating design standards and SOPs with other Senior Architects
Requirements Include
- Master or Bachelor of Architecture equivalent (Recognised by BOA)
- Registration with BOA an advantage
- At least 5 years of relevant experience. Preferred experience in design or project management of landed residential projects (New Erections)
- Direct design development towards architectural intent
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch up, Revit and/or Lumion
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction details and materials
- Capacity to work in a challenging and fast paced environment
- Team player, with the willingness to collaborate with QS and Construction Management colleagues in a respectful and equal grounds environment
