Job Description
· Monitor all vessel’s technical activities , maintain, drive, supervise and implement robust technical standards, systems and processes.
· Coordinate and provide support for dry-docking, overhauling, maintenance, and surveys.
· Provide support to ensure vessel compliance on all technical, class & flag state requirements.
· Ensure proper up to date records are prepared during and on completion of dry-docking and repairs for actual and anticipated expenditure as well as quality of the works and products involved.
· Work together with Operations, Purchasing, Accounts, and Crewing and HSSQE departments on day to day basis to ensure full operations of the Fleet
· Any other projects or responsibilities assigned by the top management.
Job Requirement
· Bachelor’s degree/Diploma or equivalent in Marine Engineering;
· Hold Certificate of Competency III/2 (for Chief Engineer) under STCW Code;
· A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience as Technical Superintendent;
· Minimum 3 years of sailing experience on petroleum-tankers (as Chief Engineer)
· Good knowledge of SIRE inspections;
· Analytical, problem solving, time management and decision-making skills;
· Ability to respond positively to customers in an effective manner;
· Demonstrates leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communications skills.
