We are looking for an HR Assistant to undertake a variety of administrative duties and a wide range of support activities in our small gelato cafe.
An important part of your role will be to act as the liaison between owner and staff, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions.
Qualifications
Have some experience in services industry. You should be able to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to owner
- Aassist in creating HR policies, processes and documents
- Manage the monthly scheduling of staff for work
- Manage day to day staffing & smooth operations of the cafe
- Assist with recruitment and hiring of part-time staff
- Responsible for attracting, hiring and retaining our staff
- Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews
- Compile and update employee records
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations etc)
- Coordinate staff meetings and take minutes
- Deal with employee requests regarding HR issues, rules, and regulations
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc)
- Communicate with government agencies when necessary
- Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures
- Conduct initial orientation to newly hired staff
- Supervise the training & proficiency of the staff
- Maintain the current SOP of the cafe
Requirements and skills
- Some relevant work experience

- Good communications skills
- Familiar with Microsoft Office
