Job Description: Office Assistant

Location: Frontier Primary School, 20 Jurong West St 61, Singapore 648200


Office Assistant:

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays: 7:00 am to 4:30 pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
  • Fridays: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
  • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays

Note: Working hours may be adjusted based on school needs, maintaining 42 hours per week.


Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Manage office supplies and issue stationery to staff.
  1. Administrative Tasks:Perform filing, sorting, photocopying, and shredding documents.
  2. Workspace Maintenance:Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the office storeroom and immediate work area.
  3. Resource Distribution:Count and pack resources for distribution to staff and students.
  4. Delivery Coordination:Coordinate deliveries and direct them to designated venues.
  5. General Office Support:Cover the General Office counter when needed and during recess and dismissal times.
  6. First-Aid and Supplies:Track and replenish first-aid items in Special Rooms.
  7. Administrative Assistance:Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks assigned by School Leaders or Key Personnel.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Completed secondary school education or relevant working experience.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, resourceful, and able to prioritize work.
  • Initiative-taking, capable of working under minimal supervision.
  • Good team player with excellent organization skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Experience:

  • Preferably at least 3 years of experience working in a primary school as a Office Assistant.
