About the Role:
As a rapidly growing company, we are seeking a Financial Controller to play a crucial role in managing our financial operations. We are seeking a dedicated, proactive and organised Financial Controller. You will play a crucial role in supporting the accounting and finance management function, including liaision with management and internal staff. As Financial Controller, Key Responsibilities are as follows:
Controlling
- Overseeing and piloting the financial controlling & reporting of multiple legal entities with support of accounting manager/financial controller of local entities
- Manage and monitor financials to meet KPIs - Revenue, EBITA, Cashflow, Capex, Debt Service Cover Ratio, Net Leverage, etc.
- Strengthen and develop business processes for sound financial management, resource allocation and decision making.
- Provide insights & analyses of financial performances.
- In charge of the internal control plan (financial part) and ensuring the statutory audits are done in a timely manner
Accounting
- Ensure timely closing of accounts.
- Ensure financials are accurately accounted for, consolidated and reported on a timely basis for all subsidiaries.
- Review all account reconciliations prepared by the team and follow up on outstanding items and or differences.
- Ensure the billing & collection activities within AR team are managed efficiently.
- Maintain control over all financial transactions and to manage company’s liquidity.
- Oversee group consolidation and monthly intercompany & balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with FRS, oversee audit process and review audited financial statements.
- Review corporate tax, GST and withholding tax as prepared by team.
- Responsible for the governance & reporting of the loan covenants.
- Liaise with external auditors, corporate secretaries, bankers and tax agents as and when necessary.
- Implement and/or review financial policies and procedures to ensure effective & efficient financial management within the company.
- Lead transversal accounting projects.
- Setting-up the monthly closing process
- Ensuring that the tax and statutory requirements are met when it comes with funding by shareholders loans or capital increases.
- Reporting the results and highlights to the management on in a timely manner
Others
- Handle and ensure all audits are well-handled and closed with minimal finding in a timely manner
- Assessing the current finance management and any area of improvement and budgeting
- Hands-on to Lead a team of accountants and manage the team’s priorities, tasks, development
- Responsible for the training and development of team members
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree or above in Finance and/or Accountancy with CA/CPA/ACCA.
· Possesses a minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in financial accounting
· Candidates with intercompany accounting background will be preferred
· Confident and decisive with great leadership skills.
· Ability to multi-task and work with tight timelines.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work cross-functionally and independently
· Strong working knowledge of Excel, appetite for developing IT skills able to learn other tools used
· Able to grasp understanding and manage businesses/companies and their relationship
· Attention to accuracy and detail required
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Takes ownership and initiative to align with management directions
