• Understand the procurement process and assist in developing and implementing the new to be procurement process
• Perform procurement and related activities to meet the cost, schedule and quality requirements
• Involve in pre-qualification process from site audit to eventual qualification of new suppliers and contractors
• Involve in negotiation process with suppliers to ensure best possible terms and conditions
• Involve in raising commercial evaluation and coordinate technical evaluation with all the stake holders and get the necessary approval
• Periodically review project procurement plans and strategies for effectiveness and relevancy
• Analyze project scope of supply and contract requirements to ensure adequate risk analysis
• Perform Vendors/Suppliers’ performance evaluation
• Liaise with Finance on payment issues
• Work closely with operation team to understand their requirement, build a data base of required specifications for each item and their respective vendors
• Source for global vendors suitable for the required equipment, parts and spares, evaluate them through the operations team and make the part of the AVL
• Source for competitive pricing from different regions to ensure the most cost-effective procurement
• Handle all the operations’ material requisitions
• Prepare and issue the contracts and POs after the management approvals
• Follow up with the vendors for the timely delivery of the orders
• Check and ensure the correct items are delivered as per POs specification and quantities
• Work closely with the logistic coordinator for the timely shipment of the purchased items
