This position is for PaxOcean Group, a company under Kuok (Singapore) Limited.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Effective delegation and control of resources for optimum productivity.
- Welfare of department personnel and identification of training needs.
- Continual appraisal of department personnel.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory, company, quality, environment, occupational health and safety standards and procedures.
- Plan, implement, and demonstrate continual improvement in occupational health and safety, quality, environment and productivity.
- Succession plan within the department.
- Liaison and coordination with regulatory bodies, clients, consultants, contractors, and internally within the company to satisfy their needs, within commercial controls, and essential requirement.
- Ensure company and project milestones, and commercial controls are achieved by effective planning, logistics, and execution.
- Assessment of consultants, suppliers, subcontractors.
- Ensuring comprehensive inputs to Commercial, Purchase departments, with relevant technical details, support documents.
- Ensuring optimum work processes and equipment utilization.
- Generate, Control and monitor department budgets.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5-10 years in similar management position at marine and/or offshore industries.
- Degree/Diploma in Estate Management, Facility Management & Shipyard Management, Engineering preferably Mechanical or Electrical related. For Diploma holders, prior leadership experience (minimum 5 years) in complex worksite environment will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in managing the maintenance (including but not limited to housekeeping, building and M&E services) of a large-scale industrial property with preference in the marine and offshore industry.
- Knowledge and experience in managing the maintenance of marine related equipment such as gantry crane, crawler crane, docks, forklifts etc.
- Ability and familiarity to engage government agencies for the needful applications/renewals of regulatory certificates to the buildings and equipment within the premise.
