Job Description
Primary duties:
- Review orders before delivery
- Conduct vehicle inspections before departure
- Load delivery items safely and efficiently
- Transport, unload, and deliver items securely to prevent damage, spoilage, or loss
- Determine optimal routes considering traffic congestion, construction, and other factors
- Communicate traffic delays and concerns to dispatch as needed
- Verify completed orders post-delivery for accuracy
- Adhere to relevant transportation and road regulations
- Follow applicable safety standards
- Maintain the delivery vehicle in a clean and safe operating condition
Secondary Duties:
- Inbound Cargo – Accurately receive all incoming shipments, sort, and place received merchandise for put away/storage following directed/undirected WMS work orders
- Outbound Cargo – Pick, pack, and stage merchandise for local or external delivery as per directed WMS work orders
- Delivery – Load and unload merchandise into vehicles for delivery according to the schedule
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and safety procedures for handling merchandise, as well as the use of DC equipment and vehicles
- Keep all material handling equipment and vehicles in good working condition
- Perform other logistic operations activities as directed by the Supervisor
Job Requirement
- Able to drive 24ft lorry
- Possess class 4 driving license
- Able to handle physical work and willingness to lift carton manually (up to 15kg)
