Our client, a Japanese company with regional offices worldwide, seeks an HR & HCD Manager to join their HR team at the Regional Support Office.

This role will support the organisation in the development and execution of human resource (“HR”) and human capital development (“HCD”) functions in the company to ensure effective utilization of human capital to support the realization of organisation goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To lead the team and support the smooth delivery of full spectrum of HR and HCD services to the organization.
  • Bridge the Management and employee relations by addressing and resolving workplace issues and grievances.
  • Review and ensure HR policies and procedures are in compliance with local government’s labour law and other regulations and in line with Company’s philosophy, core values and regulations.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to all levels of leadership and employees.
  • Take the lead role to promote continuous learning and professional development culture in the organization.
  • Initiate and lead HR and HCD related strategies and projects that contribute to the development and continuous improvement of processes and procedures thus leading to the realization of the organization’s mid to long-term goals.
  • Advise and support team leaders in HR and HCD related matters leading to forging strong and trusting relations with employees in the organization.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of HR generalist experience in supervisory position.
  • Strong communication ability including written, verbal, presentation, and able to lead group discussions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with different stakeholders to manage HR issues.
  • Sound knowledge of the employment regulations in Singapore.
  • Regional HR experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of Timesoft payroll system and SuccessFactors is an added advantage.
