The Tender/Contracts/Commercial senior manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for all Tenders, contract, procurement and commercial matters. Purchasers and QS will be reporting to him/Her.
KPI:
Create high probability rate of winning tenders. He or she must be well-versed in our industry, in-depth knowledge on costing of chemical, Gas, High purity & process piping for both Semiconductor and pharmaceutical and life science industry. Understand our key competitors and know how to develop price advantage to win tenders.
- Ensure yearly capex budget are in compliance.
- Develop strong teamwork and collaborative culture amongst all PM staffs.
Responsibilities:
- Working with PMs, QS on bids and quotation to obtain information, complete bid, including pricing and ensure competitiveness.
- Identifying opportunities whether to go or no go
- Estimating budgets and project timelines are met
- Dealing with VO’s or unexpected cost over run
- Attend site meeting to monitor progress if required for mega site
- Ensure claims or invoice are submitted timely
- Handle legal claims or liability issues
- Review and negotiate legal terms with clients
- Tracking costs and ensure project budget are met
- Procure or agree with contractors/suppliers who we intend to work on a projects
- Measure and estimate progress claim with PMs for mega projects
- Source for material that is most competitive to win new business
- Identify project risk and potential delay due to unforeseen circumstances
- Traveling from office to site as required
- Build a strong preferred list of subcontractors/suppliers with agree unit rates and project execution SOP.
