GENERAL MANAGER

Marubeni-itochu Steel Pte Ltd

A reputed multi-national Japanese steel trading company, located in the Central Business District, is seeking a dynamic and driven team player to enhance our sales management team in a challenging and fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

· Develop financial targets for the division and ensure they are met or exceeded.

· Oversee the management of steel business operations and projects across the Asia Pacific region.

· Cultivate a high-performance sales team, driving success through leadership and strategic planning.

· Design and implement effective sales strategies, including process planning, forecasting, pricing and key

accounts management.

· Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand our clientele and market share.

· Foster and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are

consistently met.

· Generate value for both manufacturers and customers.

· Play a crucial role in the growth and profitability of the company through innovative and strategic contributions.


Job Requirements:

· A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field.

· Comprehensive understanding of the steel industry and an in-depth knowledge of various steel products.

· Minimum 15 years of professional experience in a Japanese business environment, specifically in a role involving

trading within the steel industry or similar sectors.

· An established business network within the Asia Pacific markets, with a strong emphasis on Japanese markets

and an adept understanding of cultural and business norms.

· Excellent in Japanese (JLPT N1 level) and proficient in English, capable of professional-level communication in

both languages.

· Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite.

· A solid grasp of Japanese culture and business etiquette.

· Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

· Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of leading a sales team to success.

· Willingness and ability to travel as needed for business purposes.
