Contract Logistics Assistant Manager (Tuas)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day operations which includes dedicated and multi-client customers onsite to meet customers’ business requirement.
  • Responsible for the Profit and Loss of the operations and implement cost optimization program to reduce cost and improve profitability (e.g. Kaizen, LEAN etc.)
  • To lead a team to manage daily logistics operations in aspect of manpower, process, system, service quality, resource optimization, cost management and related planning that delivers excellent service quality to our customers.
  • To develop and maintain excellent rapport with customers and their stakeholders.
  • To apply systematic problem-solving techniques to resolve issues and provide prompt response with root cause, corrective and preventive action/measures to customer complaint.
  • To ensure SOP and WI are developed, documented, and trained to all staff and proper maintenance are done for all changes.
  • To conduct SOP performance reviews, coaching and mentoring, weekly communication/meeting and addressing disciplinary matters with appropriate course of action.
  • To analyse and plan training and development for all employees (include succession planning).
  • To set objectives to ensure effective inventory management through regular cycle count and stock take to achieve consistent levels of inventory accuracy that meet and exceed KPI targets.
  • To prepare and conduct Operational Review with Customers
  • To ensure accurate and timely billing to our customers.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in logistics/warehousing/supply chain and people and resource management/leadership role.
  • Diploma in Supply Chain and or Warehousing and Logistics
  • Competent in root cause analysis, identification, and delivery of solutions for service failures.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent in Microsoft Excel (Advanced level including V-lookup, Pivot etc), PowerPoint, and Word
  • Relevant experience in Kaizen and Quality Improvement Program
  • Proficient in Warehouse and Inventory Management Applications\

Offical Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 08:30 am to 06:00 pm
