The Opportunity

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide level 1 and level 2 application support (technical and functional) to a portfolio of counterpart credit risk applications.
  • Analyze and manage incidents/problems/requests coming from users
  • Process and issue daily, weekly and monthly reporting on data quality of risk chain in which the activity is usually more intense on monthly run.
  • Supervise and monitor daily and monthly chains and handle user request by working
  • closely with project, infrastructure and production teams
  • Support overnight batches which take place during the Singapore Morning and early afternoon time to ensure that problems are swiftly analyzed and resolved to minimize down-time.
  • Handle some automation and development to improve support activity
  • Prepare and maintain support documentation
  • Maintain programmable code outlined in technical instructions and specifications for software applications


Job Qualification

Mandatory

  • Candidates should have 3+ years’ experience in application support in a large organization.
  • Exposure to Capital Markets applications
  • Exposure to Counterparty Credit Risk applications
  • Strong knowledge in Sybase, Unix, Shell scripting, Perl and Control-M
  • Good knowledge Microsoft Office
  • Good knowledge in Control-M
  • Knowledge in Financial products (Treasury, FX, Credit, IRD…) is an advantage
  • Careful observance of standards and processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical or troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Autonomous, self-motivated and excellent team player
  • Strong perseverance and diligence towards attaining goals and effective time management
  • Self-starter and ambitious

Good to Have

  • ITIL Experience
  • French speaking capability is an advantage
  • Exposure to Market Risk and Compliance domains is an advantage

Education Requirements

At least a Bachelor’s degree in any of these faculties:

  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Programming & Systems Analysis
  • Science (Computer Studies)

Working Hours

  • Required to work on Paris and/or New York and/or Asia time zone*, i.e. 2pm to 11pm/4pm to 1am (summer season) or 3pm to 12am/ 5pm to 2am (winter season), or in accordance to the planned time schedule as required. If necessary, staff may also be required to start work earlier or to extend working hours.
  • Note: Staff may be required to be available for on-call support during non-business hours and/or on weekends. Allowance is claimable for such hours.
