Dyson’s multidisciplinary Energy Storage development team is responsible for delivering cells from early prototypes in the UK, through to volume manufacture in a Singapore plant.
The cells that the team delivers will push the boundaries of performance, power density, and efficiency. These cells will drive new high value Dyson products with step improvements over our competitors.
Dyson Global IT are seeking a Data Architect who will be responsible for designing and developing the data architecture for the overall project. They will work closely with the project team and external stakeholders to ensure that the data architecture meets the necessary requirements in terms of functionality, performance, scalability and security.
Potential data sources include a variety of manufacturing equipment, sensors, and enterprise systems. The Data Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing data integration solutions to extract, transform and load data from these sources into the central data repository. They will also be responsible for designing and developing data models and ETL processes to support the reporting and analytics requirements of the project, as well as making decisions on data governance, security, and the tooling and infrastructure required to support the data architecture.
Previous exposure to data visualisation tools and techniques will be advantageous in this role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as project requirements may evolve over time and the Data Architect will need to be able to adapt the data architecture accordingly.
