Job Description:
Opening Duties:
- Ensure all equipment is clean and in good work order;
- Check all chemical levels and inventory;
- Set up stations included all plates, crockery, cutlery and others being refill at the time;
- Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
Shift Duties:
- Adhere to all sanitation guidelines;
- Assist the cooks and servers as necessary;
- Clean food preparation and production areas as required;
- Dispose of waste;
- Ensure all items are clean according to sanitation guidelines;
- Maintain a clean and organized work area;
- Monitor proper tank temperatures and chemicals;
- Record all breakage;
- Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss;
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor;
- General cleaning duties.
Closing Duties:
- Complete day-end dishwasher maintenance;
- Clean all soiled items;
- Dispose of all broken items in the proper area;
- Remove trash and waste;
- clean, sanitize and close workstations.
