Roles & Responsibilities
Job Purpose
・ Management for above department
・ Achieve department objectives by planning thoroughly, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and making forecasts
・ Establish and nurture client relationships
・ Develop fuel trading strategies to import fuel to Japan
・ Establish logistic system to carry fuel cargo to Japan
・ Develop recycled resin/paper trading team (import to Japan, trading in the world)
Job Duties
・ Set sales goals, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as needed
・ Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement
・ Negotiating all trade conditions with buyers and sellers
・ Trading in domestic, import, export, and trade among three countries
・ Reserving foreign currency exchanges
・ Inventory checking at overseas warehouse
・ Credit risk management and financial analysis
・ Guidance and training of subordinates with personnel management
・ Frequent overseas business trip alone with short notice to all over the world
・ Manage product movement within the supply chain
・ Chartering and operating ships
・ Manage bunker supply in Singapore and other south east Asian countries
Skills/Qualifications
・ At least 14 years of experience in commodity trading
・ Deep understanding of bunker fuel, resin and recycled paper trading
・ Working experience in bunker supply team, domestic fuel trading team and resin sales team
・ Working experience at least Manager level
・ Bachelor degree or above required
・ Language skills of Japanese and English. Only Japanese language is available in order to communicate with Japanese HQ’s
・ Sufficient knowledge about Legal to negotiate contract condition and so on
・ Sufficient knowledge about credit to analyze customer’s financial statement
・ Knowledge about international trading including triangular trade
・ Knowledge about L/C, D/P, TTR bank settlement and international transportation
・ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
・ Excellent personal connection with Japanese shipping companies to sell fuel
・ Excellent personal connection with Japanese resin molding companies to sell resin
・ Excellent personal connection with resin / paper recycling companies in Japan and SEA
・ Excellent personal connection with plastic bag making companies in SEA
・ Deep understanding of future market, derivative hedging
・ Experience of working in bunker fuel trading team for 10 years
・ Skills to negotiate with suppliers and buyers in English
・ Experience of sales / purchasing in some countries (FE Russia, S. Korea, China, Taiwan, Hongkong, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Middle East and some European countries)
・ Skills to settle troubles once it happens in fuel supplying situation
・ Experience in project management (expand sales to certain customer in Japan)
・ Understanding of inventory control, customs clearance, or import-export
・ Professional experience in resin trading in Japan
・ Purchase resin from Indonesia, Thailand and Middle East to sell in Japan
