RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement programs to maintain buildings, equipment, and grounds inclusive of appropriate preventive maintenance schedules and procedures efficiently in an optimum condition as a Building Manager.
  • Perform and take responsibility in liaising with all maintenance vendors/FMS Trade Specialists to ensure understanding of operational procedures, to provide optimal functioning of the systems under his/her care.
  • Plan and implement good practice procedures to achieve energy efficiency.
  • Assist to review and establish an energy management plan to achieve the SMUs target energy-saving benchmarks.
  • Conducts reviews with all maintenance vendors/FMS Trade Specialists on current workflow processes and performances with a view to further improving processes and systems.
  • Work with respective all maintenance vendors/FMS Trade Specialists to formulate operational and maintenance requirements for the range of building services/systems contracts when need arises.
  • Coordinate between management and project staff on the taking over and commissioning acceptance of building/M&E/Fire & Security systems enhancement works.
  • Work with FMS project team to develop strategic plan on Smart building integration on systems.
  • Drive innovation, efficiency, sustainability, and productivity efforts as well as technology adoption to enhance facilities operations and service delivery.
  • Be the key member of Smart and Digital Transformation projects undertaken by FMS.
  • Manage Capex, Additions & Alterations and improvement projects including budgeting, cost control, procurement, execution and ensuring quality delivery.
  • Provide technical assistance to Campus Development colleagues and staff in defining and evaluating facilities/engineering requirements.
  • Propose and develop plan to systematically take over the commissioned building systems in accordance with relevant regulatory guidelines/tests/checklists and schedules.
  • Prepare tender documents and technical specifications for various facilities, building and engineering services.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Relevant degree in Engineering/Facilities Management/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Building Services or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing Facilities and Building services and systems and strong with hands-on.
  • Those who have experience in managing air-conditioning and mechanical systems, building management/automation systems and Smart FM will have an added advantage.
  • Familiar with Singapore Codes and Practices, contract administration and procurement procedures.
  • Proficiency in engineering tools such as AutoCAD and able to read engineering and technical drawings.
  • Able to anticipate customer needs, change goals and direction quickly and multitask.
  • Ability to maintain a budget on maintenance and projects.
  • Proven comfort and experience to interact effectively with customers and associates, both inside and outside of the organization.
  • Proficiency with general office PC applications (i.e., word processing, spreadsheets).
  • Demonstrated sound coordinating, personal interface skills and communication skills.
  • Good analytical and organisational skills with strong leadership skills, structured with strong work ethics.
  • Resourceful, good team player, result driven and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, enjoy challenges and problem solving.
  • Have a keen and natural affinity for technology and innovation.
  • Has an obvious safety mindset and displays good WSH behavior.
