Flo is growing fast and we are rapidly extending our portfolio. Besides providing innovative solutions for our customers, we are also enhancing our core operations as an energy supplier on the Singapore energy grid. This entails a platform that has complex integrations with market parties such as SP Group and financial exchanges. Flo is using the latest technologies to ensure a competitive package.
We are looking for a full-stack developer that can contribute to this ambition. All Flo developers have a full stack mindset, and for this specific position, we would value proven expertise in building UIs (with React and preferably TypeScript) and microservices (preferably in Kotlin). Any other proven experience in functional programming (e.g. Scala, Clojure, Java 8+) or frontend libraries (e.g. Angular, Vue) is a plus.
Flo is a flat organization so you will be able to get in direct contact with the business and you will be responsible for gathering requirements and designs and implementing the solution. We follow agile development practices, we have a daily stand-up, we demo our work regularly and we do team retrospectives to constantly improve our development process.

What is your profile?
- You have proven experience with functional programming;
- You have proven experience in building frontend applications (React experience strongly preferred)
- You have proven experience in building backend (micro)services (Kotlin experience strongly preferred, or are willing to learn this);
- You are a quick learner who values personal development by keeping up-to-date by reading books, tutorials, blogs and joining meetups;
- You are a passionate developer and you motivate the developers around you (by sharing your knowledge and your enthusiasm for technologies);
- You are familiar with unit testing;
- You are familiar with Docker
- You will be responsible for planning and maintaining our Jira and Confluence boards
