Job Responsibilities:
- Develop efficient transportation routes for the movement of goods, considering factors such as distance, traffic patterns, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers to arrange shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Optimize truckloads and container shipments to maximize capacity utilization and minimize transportation costs.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and documentation requirements, including customs clearance procedures for international shipments.
- Coordinate with warehouse and distribution teams to schedule inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring smooth flow of goods and minimal delays.
- Identify and mitigate transportation risks such as delays, disruptions, and capacity constraints through proactive planning and contingency measures.
- Communicate transportation schedules, updates, and issues to internal stakeholders and external customers to manage expectations and resolve concerns.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transportation efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
- Develop and implement contingency plans for emergency situations that may disrupt transportation operations.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including shipping documents, invoices, and performance reports.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Able to start work immediately or within short notice
- Proven experience in operations management or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
